2GuysTalkingStarWars: Return of the Jedi (1983) Perspective Review

SHARE NOW

In 1980, we learned the POWER of “The Empire” when it struck back against the Rebel forces for 2 hours and 7 minutes. That power was accompanied by one of the – if not the greatest-paced movies of all time but also a question. That question? When would the franchise return? When would it come back to the silver screen to deliver the NEXT chapter of a story that we were already salivating for? Well, it took three more years to happen but – RETURN. IT. DID. The toasty days of May, 1983, provided us with “Return of the Jedi“. Once again, the characters, the story, the connective tissue and the FORCE – flowed. It’s another piece of fandom in the making for nearly 40 years, but behold! It’s time for the 2GuysTalking: Star Wars Perspective Review of 1983’s “Return of the Jedi“, directed by Richard Marquand.
