Dr. Mark Halstead - Host of The Pediatric Sports Medicine Podcast - St. Louis, MOMark Halstead: 

Dr. Mark Halstead received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He stayed at the University of Wisconsin for his pediatric residency, followed by a year as the chief resident. Following residency, he completed a pediatric and adult sports medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He has been an elected member to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness and the Board of Directors of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). He has served as a team physician or medical consultant to numerous high schools, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Washington University, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Athletica, and St. Louis Rams. He serves and has served on many local, regional and national committees as an advisor for sports medicine and concussions. Dr. Halstead is a national recognized expert in sport-related concussions and pediatric sports medicine.

Rob Marshall - A Guest on The Pediatric Sports Medicine PodcastRob Marshall

 Rob Marshall is a dedicated professional employed by Columbus Community Hospital (CCH), where he has made a lasting impact on the community. For 27 years, he served as the athletic trainer for Columbus High School (CHS), demonstrating unwavering commitment to the well-being of student athletes, parents, schools, and the surrounding communities. Rob has transitioned into the role of director, overseeing the state-of-the-art Columbus Community Hospital Field House.
Rob is married to Denise and is the proud father of three children: Cyrus, Harper, and Traedyn. Throughout his career, Rob has held leadership positions at the state, district, and national levels, serving on various executive boards. Currently, he is the District Director for the Mid-America Athletic Training Association and the Vice President of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Rob has been recognized with numerous accolades from state, district, and national Athletic Training Associations for his outstanding contributions to the field.
Donna Wesley is continuing her second term as District Nine Director for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Ms. Wesley is a graduate of The University of Alabama and received a master’s degree from The University of Mississippi. With almost 30 years of experience as an outreach athletic trainer at the secondary school or junior college level, she has been licensed in both Mississippi and Alabama. Presently, she is employed by ATI Physical Therapy and is working with Vincent Middle High School in Shelby County, Alabama.

Donna Wesley - A Guest on The Pediatric Sports Medicine PodcastDonna Wesley

Donna has been involved in state, district, and national leadership for over 25 years and believes this experience has enabled her to be a strong voice for members in the national and district board rooms. For the past four years she has served as District Nine Director on the NATA Board of Directors and represented the members of the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association (SEATA) and NATA through tough times. She acknowledges there are still challenges ahead that must be addressed and continues in this role to advocate and work on behalf of members.
Ms. Wesley has been recognized many times by her peers for her servant leadership and in 2018, she was inducted into the SEATA Hall of Fame and was honored to be selected as the first female inductee into the Mississippi Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame in 2017. Her other awards and honors include the 2014 SEATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award, as well as the Chuck Kimmel Award of Merit. She is the 2010 winner of the SEATA District Award and in 2011 was awarded the NATA’s Athletic Trainer Service Award. In 2008, The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Sciences presented her with the Jack Davis Professional Achievement Award in Athletic Training.
